Fagus - Original Artwork

The Fagus is a cold climate deciduous native tree, found exclusively in Tasmania. The turning of the Fagus happens each year in mid August, the crinkle cut leaves change into vibrant shades of bright red, rusts and golds before shedding for the winter. 

My colour pencil artwork depicts a small cluster of leaves surrounded in black to highlight the stunning colours of the Fagus.
